Review | 10 Reasons To Visit Ramside Hall Spa, Durham.

Life has been a little bit 100 mph lately what with work, college and some personal stuff going on, so when I was invited along to spend an evening at Ramside Hall's newly refurbished spa, that was A-OK with me. In fact, I'd packed my cossy and cleared my diary within minutes

Here's a list of what I loved about Ramside Hall Spa

 ONE | Gingerbread Martini Tasters.
These were provided on arrival. I can't decide if this was a little sickly or a little taste of heaven - I'll just have to go back and sample again to decide, y'know for blog research and all that..

TWO | It's big.
I've been to a couple of spas before, both of which were lovely but you'd seen and done everything within an hour, whereas Ramside Hall is huge. With five pools, a sauna, four steam rooms, a gym and an endless corridor of treatment rooms, this place was never ending bliss.

THREE | Pan Asian Cuisine.
'Cos who doesn't love the idea of Asian style afternoon tea. The on site restaurant specialises in Asian cuisine and the nibbles we were able to try were delicious. Pass the spring rolls.

FOUR | Wellness Spa.
Wellness for Cancer has specifically trained and certified Ramside Hall spa to provide services for clients who have experienced or are currently living with cancer. They have an experience called The Mindful Touch which is dedicated to reducing stress and anxiety, as well as nurturing, nourishing and making people feel special again.

FIVE | Espa.
Ramside Hall Spa uses Espa products within their treatments and although we didn't have any treatments, there was shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the showers for after use of the spa - they smelled amazing!

SIX | Gel Nail Emporium.
Get 20 bloggers in a room filled with colour coordinated nail polish displays and matching colour pop furniture and just try tearing those camera flashes away. Yup, you may be there a while.

SEVEN | Mix of People.
I'm forever pestering Toby to go to a spa with me, as well as telling my Dad he would love it to ease his arthritic aches and pains, but neither seem to want to entertain the idea and take their better halves. I think the fear is that the spa is perceived as a feminine place for your typical man's man, but it just so isn't at Ramside Hall. I would even hazard a guess that there were more men than women there when we went, hence my Christmas present of a voucher for my Mam and Dad to attend soon - you will love it Dad, like it or not..

EIGHT | Party Pool.
I'm sure this isn't the official name, but it sums up my feelings on this outdoor pool which is complete with coloured lights and a heating system which made us forget we were sat outside in next to nothing mid-November!

NINE | Room Bookings.
There's private relaxation rooms complete with hanging chairs and big comfy sofa's which groups can book. I like the idea of coming to the spa with the girls and having one of these rooms as our base to keep heading back to!

TEN | Current Offers.
This is what I'm buying my Mam and Dad - one night's stay at the spa, spa brunch, dinner in the Fusion restaurant, a mud rasal for two and use of the spa for £199. Bargain.

What do you think of spa's? Is it your thing too?

*Ramside Hall provided me with a complimentary visit to their spa, but all views of this wonderful place are my own.
