Review | Eating ALL the Tapas at Case Del Mar, Hartlepool Marina.

Casa Del Mar Hartlepool

Casa Del Mar has got to be one of my favourite restaurants and that's saying a lot because I've sampled my fair share. Eating out is definitely my favourite hobby. I've lost count of how many times we've been here but our most recent time was for a date night one random Wednesday evening after work.

Casa Del Mar nears the top of my fav food joints list for a number of reasons, number one being that it is a tapas restaurant. I LOVE tapas. Why decide on one dish when you can have seven? I'm not even exaggerating there. We had seven but we did share. Between us we got lots of cheese options - we had goats cheese, brie in breadcrumbs with caramelised onions and bread with chorizo pate and manchego cheese. For meat dishes, we opted for the chicken in white wine sauce and minted lamb, then we also had stuffed peppers and potatoes in a tomato sauce. I can't even tell you which one was my favourite because they were all mouth wateringly good. Not a scrap was left at the end of the meal that's for sure.

I also love that Casa Del Mar sells sangria. I like to pretend I'm on holiday sunning it up somewhere with my jug of fruity goodness, instead of being slap bang in the middle of Hartlepool. On the topic of location though, Casa Del Mar is situated on Hartlepool Marina which is a really pretty little place. We love taking Pepper for walks here on a weekend and on a night it's nice to grab some food here and go for a few drinks in the little bars dotted about the place. In the Summer, it's great to sit outside and look out at all the little boats moored up too.

Have you ever been to Hartlepool Marina? Do you have any tapas recommendations?
